Join our Dynamic Community!

Kindergarten Graduation for Pilot Year - 2009

The Aldama Dual Language program offers the linguistically, economically and culturally diverse communities of Northeast Los Angeles a world-class educational experience, while fulfilling the dream that children from all backgrounds can grow up together, learn two languages and share the beauty and richness of each other’s culture.

Our teachers attend conferences, institutes and trainings that prepare them in best practices in the areas of literacy, numeracy, language learning and building communities of learners.  In addition to the beauty of learning two languages, students are academically challenged  through the child-centered approaches of Reader’s and Writer’s Workshop, as taught by the Columbia University Teacher’s College Reading and Writing Project, through Cognitive Guided Instruction (CGI) Math as taught by the UCLA Math Project, and by reaching every student, regardless of their language level, through the special strategies of Project G.L.A.D. (Guided Language Acquisition and Development) and the Occidental College Foreign Language Project.

Come and visit our beautiful program and join our community of families who stand for academic excellence and community engagement!  ¡OlĂ©!
